About ICON Badminton

ICON Badminton is a premier badminton centre in Balzac, Rocky View County — minutes from North Calgary, near CrossIron Mills. We’re building more than courts—we’re building a home for the badminton community.

Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time, looking to stay active, or striving to compete at the highest level, ICON is designed to be a place where every player belongs.

ICON was founded by a group of passionate badminton enthusiasts who believe the sport deserves a space that reflects its potential. We want to grow badminton in a positive, welcoming environment where players can challenge themselves, make lasting friendships, and share their passion with others.

Our name reflects the standard we hold ourselves to: premium courts, exceptional coaching, and a facility that respects the game. But our mission goes beyond badminton. We want ICON to become a second home—a place where like-minded people come together to train hard, play often, support one another, and create memories that extend far beyond the court.

Our Grand Opening was October 2. Follow our journey on Instagram as we build Calgary’s next home for badminton.
